First Married Christmas :)
Hey Everyone! I hope you had a super fabulous exciting Christmas! Korey, Bella, and I had a GREAT Christmas. Yesterday we went to church and watched a Christmas movie and just relaxed some. Today we got up opened our presents, talked to family, went to see a movie, and packed up for DISNEY! We got a lot of stuff and we enjoyed playing with some of our new gifts. Korey got me the Sims for my computer and it works SOOO WELL on my new computer.. its very addicting! :) I played that for a good part of the day haha. Bella enjoyed all her gifts. She has managed to break two of her squeaky toys already and she ate 2 bones :) haha. I think I finally got most of my stuff packed up to go to Disney tomorrow morning and I'm actually off to bed now so I can get a little sleep before I have to wake up at 7 to make the trip. We are planning to leave around 8 and PRAYING that we can get into the Magic Kingdom when we get there. Well I'll make sure to take some pictures.. Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! Love you all!

MIDNIGHT IS MY TIME
So its about 11:30 and I'm still awake because I do not have to get up early tomorrow. I should probably still go to bed though because I'm tired! Bella is in bed now though, because she decided it would be a good idea to chew my black shoes i wear to school. Now I have to go buy a new pair of shoes... grrr! But since I was up I decided to take one of the quizzes at blogthings.com and I chose "what time of day are you" and here are the results:
I thought it as appropriate and accurate. So enjoy! Christmas is coming... and that means so is DISNEY! :).. I'm excited.

You are more than a little eccentric, and you're apt to keep very unusual habits. Whether you're a nightowl, living in a commune, or taking a vow of silence - you like to experiment with your lifestyle. Expressing your individuality is important to you, and you often lie awake in bed thinking about the world and your place in it. You enjoy staying home, but that doesn't mean you're a hermit. It's Almost Christmas Break!
Hey guys! I don't know if anyone still reads this anymore, but I'm finally writing something again. This week felt like it went on forever! The end of the week was kind of bad for me. On Thursday I was sick all day at school and it was not good! I think I caught a 24 hour bug that some of the kids have had. I came home from school and slept on the couch or just laid around until I went to bed. Friday I felt a little better but pretty tired and drained because I hadn't really eaten any food the day before. I made it through the school day (we had a Christmas program which helped because we didn't have to do any teaching during that time :)...) and then I came home and rested some more. Friday night we went out with some of Korey's friends for a little dinner and then we went to see the pursuit of happyness. I loved it! It's a really good movie and its based on a true story. Saturday Korey and I relaxed in the morning and then we finished up our Christmas shopping in the afternoon. We came home and watched some movies and wrapped some presents. We're hoping we can get all our gifts out on time so that they'll get to everyone before Christmas but we'll see! I can't believe Christmas is almost here and that we'll be going to Disney in about a week! It's crazy and I'm VERY excited! :) Well enough about my weekend... it wasn't THAT exciting haha. love you all and see some of you REAL SOON!

8 more school days 'til Christmas Break!

Hello everyone! Sorry it's been a few days since I wrote anything. I'm just so glad the week is finally over. I love my weekends. But sadly its already Sunday and I have 8 more school days until I get my Christmas break!! Korey and I did some shopping yesterday but not too much because he had to go study in the morning and for most of the afternoon. He went in again this morning but won't be there as long so we're going to do some more shopping again when he is done. Friday night we went to a festival of lights around here. We drove through a park where they had it all decorated with lights. We also got out and walked around where they had marshmallow roasting pits, Santa Claus, shopping, and more. It was fun and something different!

Also Saturday night Korey and I went to a hockey game around here. It was fun too, but I would've probably liked it better if during the last period they didn't stop every 2 seconds to beat each other up, it got a little excessive. But overall this was a pretty good weekend. It's getting colder down here, but there is no snow so I am HAPPY! :) Hope all is well back home! Miss you and see some of you soon!

Yay for new computers!

Well I finally have a new computer now so I should be online more again! It's kind of sad how attached we are to our computers haha. I really missed it when it was gone. I enjoy talking to people on here at night and looking up stuff.
This weekend Korey and I did some Christmas shopping and we bought a Christmas tree. A fake one, because it was actually cheaper than buying a real one around here, and we figured a real one would just give Bella something to eat when needles fell off. Bella has done pretty well around the tree. I've only caught her twice now trying to eat it or something off of it haha. We also decorated our patio/porch thing outside with some nice lights. I'm really getting excited for christmas. We still have a lot of shopping to do it seems like though, and then of course we need to wrap the gifts and ship them all off to wherever they're going! Well I don't really have too much more to write. If i remember something else I did while my computer was broke i'll write it later haha. DISNEY WILL BE HERE SOON! YAY

Nice and Warm
Okay... I find it very crazy that it is almost December and it was 79 degrees out today! Korey and I took Bella to the beach tonight and it was fun to be there at night when it was nice and quiet and there was hardly anyone there at all. Bella enjoyed running around in the sand. I walked over to the gym tonight in a short sleeve shirt and shorts and I wasn't even cold, in fact I think I got some bug bites! I do not miss cold weather at all! haha Other than that nothing too exciting has happened. KOrey's car is still not fixed, and my computer is still broken. I'm getting super excited about Disney! I don't really have too much to write on here. Korey did great on his last test he had the other day which is good! I'm going to actually go now and get ready to watch the best show in the world ONE TREE HILL! I don't know what i'm going to do when they go on their Christmas break. But korey and I did start watching episodes of LOST that we got from Blockbuster so I guess I'll just have to watch that! Talk to you later :)

The Trip Home was GREAT!
Okay.. so this is the second time now i'm writing this, because the last time Korey's computer froze up and it lost it all. I am having the worst luck ever.
Well Korey and I had a great visit home. Sorry I haven't wrote in awhile, but I know most of you got to see me this past weekend and that just makes up for everything! haha. Well the last time I wrote this before it got deleted, I wrote everything we did while we were home... I'll try and sum it up again.
We left Wed. night right after work and drove 3 hours through some bad traffic to get to the airport to fly home. Korey's dad picked us up around midnight when our plane landed and we headed home. We got home around 3 a.m. after stopping for some food. Thursday morning I woke up to Courtney calling me and texting me ... telling me to get my butt over to the house. She told me to "hurry up and to not even worry about showering." I did shower but I tried to hurry and Korey and I headed over to see my family. We played Apples to Apples which is a REALLY FUN game! (I ended up buying it this weekend). Everyone played which made it great! (dad usually doesn't play games). So then after the game we ate our Thanksgiving lunch/dinner and just kind of hung out together aftewards. Korey went home to his house a little later on for the evening and I stayed at home and had a girls night with Courtney. It was nice to be home again! Friday morning I went to get my hair cut and highlighted. I hadn't done anything to my hair since the summer. I hate going to new people when it comes to my hair and I don't want to go to someone else when I finally found someone who does my hair perfect! I told Kristy (my hairdresser who happens to have my same name and spells it with a K also! haha) that I would have to make a special trip home again next time I needed my hair done. After my hair I went with my family to Long John Silvers because we don't have one of those here believe it or not, and I kind of missed it! Then I went to the scrapbook nook, and on a hunt to find Apples to Apples before visiting with Grandma. Next, I had to hurry home to go to Korey's grandmas to meet him there for another Thanksgiving meal. It was a nice visit with his relatives, we ate and watched the Polar Express. Then Korey and I went to my house to put up the Christmas tree, and after that we hung out with all our friends for the night. It was really good seeing everyone, it kind of stinks that we dont' get to see them that often now that we've moved. Every time Korey and I go out on the weekends I tell him everyone how much I miss my friends and I wish they were here! Saturday morning Korey and I ate brunch with Sarah and Betsy and then we went to see Sarah's new puppy Jake. He's adorable. He'll have to meet Bella some time. After puppy visiting Korey and I went to say goodbye to my family one last time before we left to go to his other grandparents for the night. We drove down and had another Turkey meal with Korey's relatives and hung out with them for the night. It was another good visit with family. The next morning we woke up and headed to the airport to fly back here. The plane ride was okay, it just kinda of stunk that we had to switch planes for such a short flight. Once we got back here... everything went wrong it seemed...
We were not able to pick Bella up last night because we got in to late and that made us both upset/unhappy. Korey's car was not fixed while we were gone so I had to get up super early today to drive him to school before I went to work. (His car is still not fixed, but at least i found a ride for tomorrow and will only have to get up 30 min. early instead of 2 hours early). Then to top that all off, my computer decided to not start when I turned it on and it still does not work as of right now. I must have bad luck following me around as Korey said a few minutes ago when I made his computer freeze up and had to start typing this all over again for a second time!
But anyway... I survived my long day of running around in the morning, and not really getting home for good until after 7. Korey has a test tomorrow and then he pretty much has the rest of the week where he doesn't have to do too much until his real school starts on Monday. I still like my job so its okay that the kids drive me nuts and wear me out!
Now that Thanksgiving is over, I am looking forward to our Disney Trip in December. I am sooo excited. I LOVE Disney World, and this is the first time my family has gone in awhile... so I keep trying to get them excited about it! But I think this is enough writing for now. Sorry if I bored you with all the details of my trip home and my complaining about my bad luck. Hope my bad luck doesn't rub off on anyone!

I'm boring... Sorry!
So its been almost a week since I wrote last. My life hasn't been all that exciting sorry, I didn't really have anything new to write about. I got up went to work, the kids were crazy and wore me out, I came home went to the gym, made some food, ate it, watched some tv, and then passed out. That was basically every day this week haha. Wednesday I had a rough morning, I slept in 15 minutes, and then couldn't find my keys and barely made it to school on time. Then today I had to go to a new employee orientation that was from 8-1 and pretty boring, and confusing. Then I went into school afterwards and worked 'til 4. We got mail today from Lisa which was exciting! :)
Korey gets home from school pretty late, usually after 7 which kind of sucks because then we eat, and he usually tries to go to bed by 10. I'm glad I'm here with him, but it kind of stinks being together, but not really being able to spend much time together. I really look forward to the weekends and I'm soooo glad that tomorrow is Friday. We don't really have any big plans for the weekend. Korey had mentioned going bowling at one point, and I still really want to go on our free carriage ride but we'll see. Every weekend we plan to do something, stuff just always seems to happen to mess up our plans! Less than a week until we go home, I'm so excited to see everyone! It kind of stinks that we won't be there long. WE have thursday and Friday in bville, then we have to travel to korey's grandparents house on Saturday, and then flying back here on Sunday. Well I guess thats enough rambling. Sorry that nothing more exciting has happened. Although I went to two different walmarts today and saw people camped out literally with tents up waiting to go get a new playstation.. now thats CRAZY! HAHA

Relaxing Weekend and Good Books
This weekend was nice and relaxing and of course went too fast! Friday night we went to see Stranger Than Fiction with some of Korey's friends, it was good! Saturday I slept in of course :) and then went for a run in the early afternoon. It was pretty warm out and it was a nice run! Then Korey and I went to the outlets because Korey needed some new basketball shoes. He found some people to play basketball with on the base and he was all excited. We found some new shoes, I bought another book :) and also a Christmas present for someone! Saturday night we went to eat at Longhorn Steakhouse with another of Korey's friends and his friends girlfriend who was visiting. It was a good dinner and afterwards we went to his friends house to hang out and watch a movie. Today is just a lazy Sunday. We went to the grocery store and Walmart and now we're relaxing watching the Steeler game... and yes surprisingly we can actually sort of relax watching it right now since they are ahead by 14 pts. now they just need to keep it that way! Back to school tomorrow... which is okay... I just really enjoy my weekends haha.

Now for the books part. I have been reading books by Jodi Picoult lately. They are AMAZING! The first book I read was My Sisters Keeper! I loved it and immediately gave it to my mom to read and she also enjoyed it. I decided I would try another one of her books and I picked The Pact to be my second Jodi Picoult book to read. It was also AMAZING! The stories are so good and the characters so real. I cannot put the books down and generally finish them within a week which is usually difficult for me to do since I'm going to work all day and then going to the gym, making dinner, eating, watching some tv at night, and more. But with her books I just cannot stop reading and I take the books with me wherever I go. This weekend I bought another one of her books Vanishing Act, and I've already started it. So those of you who read this and are looking for some good books... Go read these books, or you can ask to borrow mine! I like to share good books with friends :)
I hope all is well with everyone else, and I'm sure I'll have more to write within the week. We'll be home soon!

Days off are nice!

I didn't have to work today. It was election day and there was no school. It was nice sleeping in during the week again. I didn't sleep in too late though :) I actually did some stuff today too! I cleaned up our apartment, I made dinner (which only consisted of putting a roast in the crock pot.. but that's still making dinner!) I entertained the pup and I went to the gym. When Korey got home we had to go pick up his car from being looked at, and then we came home and relaxed. Korey seems to not hate his classes so far so that's good. Nothing to exciting has happened lately except Bella got out again on Sunday and this time she was BAD! She broke a glass and ate at least 5 candy bars and got crumbs everywhere. She didn't get sick Sunday night, but Monday when I got home from work she puked up two candybar wrappers.. NOT FUN! Everything is okay now and she seems fine... I just have to make sure her den is closed when we leave! haha Hope all is well with everyone else. Tomorros is Hump Day! The weekend will be here before we know it haha.

I love weekends!

So I noticed I haven't wrote in a few days... Sorry! We did not get any trick or treaters here on Halloween. Kind of sad, If I lived in an apartment complex and I was a child, I'd be in Heaven going around to everyones door, but oh well.. more candy for Korey and I. Thursday was my first day of work with all the kids. I'm still enjoying the job, one week in. The kids are crazy though and some of them are slower to learn, but I knew that coming in to this program so it's okay. I really like the teacher I work with, and I just hope I keep enjoying the job. Friday was Korey and I's 8 year anniversary from when we started dating so Korey surprised me and booked a dinner cruise for us to go on. It was fun and the food was good! Today we went shopping and ate at Red Lobster! :) Now we are watching movies of course! Bella has been recovering from her surgery well. Funny story about Bella... the other day when we got home from the dinner cruise Bella greeted us at the door. I did not think this was strange at first, and then all of a sudden it hit me.. why is bella out of her den? We put her in her den every time we go somewhere and she was definitely in there when we left. One of us must not have latched it right though and she got out. Nothing was chewed up and she didn't go to the bathroom in the house though, so we were happy. She was sitting on the chair when we came home and jumped off to meet us at the door. Now she is watching the movie we are watching very intently haha. We're watching 8 Below and I think she enjoys watching the dogs on the movie!
Before I go I just want to say a BIG THANK YOU to the people who keep our mailbox full with letters. Courtney I think you write us every day or something haha.. j/k but thank you so much for all the mail. Also a thank you to Lisa who has written several letters! Its fun to get mail! :) We started hanging our cards we get on the wall, it makes us feel like we're missed! Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Happy Halloween!

It's Halloween
It's Halloween! It's Halloween!
The moon is full and bright
And we shall see what can't be seen
On any other night.
Skeletons and ghosts and ghouls,
Grinning goblins fighting duels,
Werewolves rising from their tombs,
Witches on their magic brooms.
In masks and gowns
we haunt the street
and knock on doors
for trick or treat.
Tonight we are the
king and queen,
for oh tonight
It's Halloween!

Is It Friday Yet?
Well today was my first actual paid day of work and it went well. There weren't any kids there yet though haha. Tomorrow half of the kids will come, and then Wednesday the other half will come. Thursday will be the first day with all the kids. I'm excited, but also a little nervous since they will be 4 year olds and some of them have never been in school before now... it should be interesting. I just hope I can do everything that is asked of me. It sounds like I will be doing a lot of getting papers ready and things for the kids, but also I think I will be doing a lot of crafts... which is fun, but at the same time makes me worry I'll be spending a ton of time trying to find crafts to do... we'll see how that works out. I'm not dreading going to work yet, which is a good thing haha but I am dreading getting up in the morning. I have to get up around 6 or a little after and I am NOT a morning person at all.. It's killing me! The only nice thing is that I am technically done around 3 to go home. Once everything settles down and we have the room all set up and ready to go and the kdis have been there awhile, I'll probably get to leave close to that time, but for now we'll see. So far the teacher has been wonderful about letting me get home, but I've been staying because I know there is a lot to do. 4 more days of work and then its the weekend.. yay! :) I think Korey and I are going to try and go on our free carriage ride this weekend, depending on the weather and then use our restaurant gift certificate to go out to eat! I'm looking forward to that and sleeping in. I miss spending my whole day at home with Korey... sleeping in... relaxing and watchign movies all day... going to the beach (when it was still warm). Well I better go get ready for tomorrow and get to bed soon. I think Korey and I are at least going to start watching a movie tonight haha! This Blockbuster thing has definitely come in handy!.. Night ;)

Yucky Rainy Friday
Yay.. It's Friday! Boo... It's rained all day. :) Today was another day full of setting up the new classroom. It was another good day. Everyone seems very nice and the teacher i'm working with is sooo positive. I really think this job will be hard.. but I think I'll enjoy it. I'm really hoping I enjoy it. I'm going to miss my days of sleeping in and hanging out with Korey. It was a good month to just relax and spend time together and WATCH MOVIES!! I'm so glad it's the weekend but I wish it was not raining. It has rained ALL DAY! When I got home from work today Korey had cleaned the whole apartment and our kitchen table had arrived and he had it all set up and ready to go! It was a wonderful surprise-I was so happy!! Especially since I had bathroom cleaning duty... but he did it all! Tonight we went to see Saw 3. I thought it was good, it was disturbing as usual and that was expected haha. It was also very gruesome.. but that was also expected. Not sure what we will do tomorrow. We want to go on the haunted hayride they have around here, but not if the weather is as crappy as it was today. Sunday Kody will be coming through town with his girl and I guess they are stopping to see us so we'll see what happens there. Other than that.. no big plans. I start working for actual money on Monday haha.. but the kids won't be there until Tuesday. There is a meeting for parents Monday night though which is going to make Monday a looooonnnggg day. I'm really going to be looking forward to the weekends! Night for now.

Hump Day
It's wednesday.. half way through the week. Yesterday morning I found out that I got the original job I interviewed for. I start working next Monday as a teacher assistant. I have met the teacher I will work with.. she is nice.. but most of you know the whole situation surrounding even getting this job haha. It's crazy. I just hope that I enjoy it and that I do a good job. I may be going in later this week or this weekend to probably help get everything set up. I'll have to write about how everything goes once I get started.. hopefully they will be Happy blogs haha. I'm going to miss my days of lounging around with Korey. We've gotten to watch a lot of movies! Blockbuster online came in handy! Today Korey and I went to the movies and saw The Prestige.. it was really good. There aren't many movies I don't like though if you talk to me.. so you'd have to go see them for yourself to see if you like them :) I'm excited that its Wednesday.. not just because the weekend is closer.. but because it's ONE TREE HILL night! But I don't really have any other big exciting news or things going on.. so I guess this is all I'll write for now. Halloween is coming up! I don't know if we'll do anything or not. Probably not on the actually night of Halloween since I'll have to work the next day... but even this weekend I dont know what we'll do.. other than go see Saw 3. But anyhow.. bye for now!
Sunday, October 22, 2006

Well this weekend was exciting.. for me at least! Korey and I decided to travel this weekend to Wilmington. Our goal was to scout out some Tree Hill stuff! We went to the studios where One Tree Hill is filmed. We got to walk through the sets where stuf is filmed.. it was great! It was fun to see how it really looks compared to how it appears on tv. They had some sets closed off, but we got to walk through Dan and Deb's house, Haley and Nathans apartment, Brooke and Rachels room, the locker room, we saw the cars that people drive on the show.. we even saw a set all ready to go for an episode that must be in the future.. so it kind of gave some things away possibly!

The only bad part was we saw noone famous haha (and you can't take pictures of the sets).. but they don't film on the weekends and they don't give tours during the week.. plus the people who work there never see them and say that its easier to see them downtown than at the studio unless you work for the show. After walking through the sets we traveled downtown to the waterfront to have some lunch. We walked around and saw some other places that were on the show. The cd store where tyler hilton worked on the show, Karen's cafe, the river court. I really enjoyed it and I wouldn't mind going back and even taking the tour again since new sets may be opened up or things may be different if we go back. Maybe when Courtney visits :) Today was a bad day for Steeler fans! Oh well, hopefully next time. Today was a lazy rainy day. I did manage to get to the Gap though finally to purchase my "red" shirt. Tomorrow is my interview for the job I don't even want. So again I'll be looking forward to it being over.. which it should be done by 10:30 at the latest! So wish me luck at making my way through it and having this hopefully over with. Everytime I think I can relax about it, something else happens to stress me out!

Rough couple of days
Okay this is going to be short because I need to go to bed. The past few days and job hunting has been stressful. I got that interview, then the teacher i would be assisting calls me and tells me I'm too overqualified to be an assistant I should take her old teaching job. I don't really want to teach. That wasn't my goal here, I'm not even sure if its what I want to do in the long run. That's why I applied for assistant jobs, and for the fact that I won't be here that long. So I go in to see her class and talk to her today and its crazy. Big mess of stuff at her school and everything.. I won't go into details.. but it just stresses me out even more. Then I'm told to go to the main recruiting office to get some clearances, and of course I go there and ask about it, and they look at me like I'm crazy because that isn't the way it works. I'm so sick of this, and if I don't have a job with the schools by Christmas, I am definitely looking elsewhere after the holidays.. I don't need all this crap and stress. Makes me miss home even more and the good old subbing I had there and potentially a job at the only school where I ever really enjoyed teaching. Blah blah blah... okay enough complaining for now.. most of you already heard about it already. Nite!

Yay Steelers!!
Well this is a much better Sunday than the past few :) The Steelers won! yay :) Other than that I did not do too much today. Korey and I did try out a new church today. It reminded me a lot of my church back at home. We might try out a different one next week just to see what a few of the churches are like don here. We started watching Inside Man before the game but didn't have time to finish it, so we are probably going to finish that now. We went to the Steeler bar for the game and it was fun, especially since they won. Korey had his Steeler tie on at church and some guy even made a comment about it. The guy was from Pittsburgh and even knew where Bville was which was exciting haha. I'm hoping this week goes well and that I hear from the school some time about the interview I had.. even if it means I have to go back again and be scared! Next weekend I think Korey and I are going to take a short day trip to investigate Tree Hill stuff :) But for now.. that's all.
Lazy Day and Ghost tour

Today Korey and I basically just sat around and relaxed. We went to the grocery store and blockbuster and then on a ghost tour at night but other than that it was just a nice relaxing day. The ghost tour was fun and interesting. We heard a few different stories and walked around town. We went into a cemetary there and took some pictures that I'll add to this post. Pictures finally! :) The one story they told us was about a girl whose father put her in one of those family things that are above ground in a cemetary and she wasn't dead... I couldn't completely understand the guy talking but korey thinks the girl was in a coma or something.. either way she was alive and when they opened it her body fell out and they say that if you put your ear to the key hole she will whisper to you. I was brave and tried it but didn't hear anything. Korey wouldn't even try it.. chicken! I have a picture of me with my ear to it haha. It was a fun tour so if you come visit we'll have to go on one of them! Tomorrow Korey and I are going to try out a church in the morning and then we're off to the Steeler bar later in the day for the game. Hopefully I hear something from the school on Monday, I am starting to worry again. I at least hope I get called back for another interview. Well anyhow.. I'll keep writing as often as I can.. hopefully someone is still reading :)

One Interview Down
The interview today went well. I was pretty much told I should be called back for a second interview. That made me feel better, but now I also really want the job so if I don't get it I'll be bummed, but I'll have more confidence now for other future interviews. The job the interview was for sounds very interesting and would be rewarding, I'm excited to find out either way. After the interview Korey took me to Sonic to celebrate :) Then we went to the beach in case there aren't any more nice days. It was 80 some degrees here and from the sounds of things I should be glad I was down here instead of back in bville and that area. Did it really snow guys? haha 40 some days until we come home to visit. I can't wait! I really miss some things about Bville and I still tend to call it home. I miss my family and friends of course, but I also kind of miss when the weather just starts to get cold, because its not really doing that yet here. I miss good old home cooked meals that I do not have to cook myself haha. I miss my small town where I can go somewhere and most likely run into someone I know. But It's nice here too.. there are a lot of new things to do. I don't have to drive so far to go to a mall or movie which is a plus! But I guess that's enough for tonight. I don't know if anyone still really reads this or not haha, but I'll keep writing! Love you all!

I got an Interview
I didn't wait TOOO long to write again :) This morning I woke up to my cell phone ringing and it was one of the schools I had applied to be a teacher assistant at. I have an interview tomorrow at 11. Wishe me luck because i'm TERRIFIED!! I have never had an interview before. I don't even have all my nice clothes down here and I am freaking out. Korey is happy because he thinks this could lead to more money haha. Me, I'm happy I finally got called because now I don't feel like I'm a complete failure. When i was hearing nothing back from my applications I was worried. Now that I have heard I'm scared, and a little excited, but until it's over tomorrow I'll be mostly scared. Then If I don't hear anything back again, I'll probably go back to thinking I'm a failure :)... Just kidding. At least I got an interview finally, and if it goes horrible, I'll suck it up.. (probably cry a lot first).. and then hopefully I'll get another one. Enough for now, that's about all that happened today. Korey and I did go see Departed to help me take my mind off of the interview. It was a really good movie, I liked it! But okay, I really am going now. I'll let you know how tomorrow goes.. although most of you who read this will probably know before you get on here and read it.. but anyhow.. GOODNITE!

Monday's are not my favorite day
Well this weekend was fun but not super exciting. Korey and I were going to go on the ghost tour with our tickets, but it was full, so we had to reschedule that and we're going next weekend now. On Friday night we went downtown to go out with some of Korey's friends. It was fun, but it wasn't as fun as going out with my friends, and it made me sad. I ended up sending text messages to people telling them how much I missed them. It has been pretty chilly here lately so the beach has been out. It seems the weather has changed, and maybe there will be no more beach days.. it's sad. Also, I have not heard anything from the jobs I applied for yet, which makes me extremely sad.. so today I have applied for 5 more, but I am not getting my hopes up. So I guess that is basically all I have to write about, its sad I know haha. I'll try and do something more exciting this week or weekend so I actually have stuff to write about. I need to start taking more pictures again too. We did actually hang some pictures up around the apartment which made Korey feel better I think haha. Well I'im off for now.. hopefully I won't take too long to write again!

What Superhero Are You?
| You Are Superman |
Faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a locomotive, and able to leap tall buildings in a single bound. And pretty cute too. No wonder you're the most popular superhero ever! |
It's been awhile... sorry!
Sorry I haven't wrote in awhile for those of you who actually read this, and check to see if I write stuff! I haven't done anything real exciting since I last wrote on here. I've gone to the beach again, swam laps, exercised at the gym. Korey got some not so great news at school and it turns out will be down here longer than we thought, which isn't so bad. Yesterday I got online to print off applications to apply for more jobs and discovered they changed the whole process for applying and made it a pain in the ass so now I have to figure out how to apply for some more jobs this weekend.. grrrrr. I really don't even want a job, but I promised I would get one, and the extra money would definitely not hurt! Thank you to everyone who sent mail!! It's exciting and fun to go to the mail box and actually get something other than junk mail and coupons. I think Korey and I are going to go on a ghost tour tonight using our free coupons we got last weekend. Tomorrow Korey is going somewhere with a friend in the afternoon and I'd like to go to the beach but I don't think the weather is going to cooperate with me for that so we'll see what I end up doing. At night Korey wants to go downtown and see what's going on so maybe I'll actually have something less boring to talk about tomorrow. I can't believe when been down here for over 2 weeks already. I think I'm ready for a visit home though haha. The countdown isn't going quick enough! Well enough writing about boring stuff, I'll try and make sure I don't take a week to write again next time.

It doesn't feel like October here
Well It's October already but the weather here is still warm! Okay, so on Saturday Korey and I did venture downtown, but I forgot my camera. Sorry! I took a few pictures with my camera phone but I'm not sure if they turned out well because I haven't put them on the computer yet. Downtown was fun and very interesting. I wish I would've taken more money to shop at the market, but walking through was good enough for now haha. We ate downtown and then we went to a movie. We saw School for Scoundrels. Korey and I both liked it. It was funny! Today we went on a tour and listened to a sales pitch about another timeshare type deal. The deal was actually good, but we already have one. We only went on the tour for the free tickets and stuff. Now we can do the ghost tour we wanted to do for free, the carriage ride, and we have 25 dollars to spend at a variety of restaurants, so it was worth it in the end. We then spent the rest of the day at the beach of course! It was a nice day for the beach. There wasn't a lot of wind so we got to play with the frisbee without it going everywhere, and the waves were nice. Hopefully tomorrow we will figure out how to do the laundry here, and then who knows what else. Hope everyone else is keeping warm! :)

TGIF
I don't really have a lot to write about today. Korey and I did make breakfast sandwiches with our new toaster today which was kind of exciting, believe it or not haha. I love our toaster because it makes eggs and can heat sausage or any other kind of meat and it makes toast. It's great for breakfast sandwiches because you can make all parts of the sandwich using the toaster and all the ingredients are ready at the same time! Okay...enough about our toaster. Korey and i decided to ride our bikes over to the beach today. We had to go park the car somewhere a littler closer because we can't really ride all the way from our apartment there. It was fun riding the bikes over, but we couldnt' take all the stuff we normally do, like our chairs and extra towels. We had to fit everything into a backpack that Korey could wear over while riding his bike. After the beach we came back and I went to the gym here. I'm actually pretty proud of myself when it comes to exercise lately. There is only one day this week I haven't did some type of exercise. I've gone to the gym, rode the bike, swam laps, and ran. Hopefully after I get a job I'll be able to keep it up! Tonight Korey and I rented a movie and watched it on the new TV. We watched the Sentinel. It was pretty good. Well I guess that is enough of my boring life for tonight. I'll have to take some more pictures this weekend to post. For now I figured everyone was getting sick of looking at pictures of the beach. Korey and I are thinking of venturing into town tomorrow for dinner and to walk around so I'll try and take some pictures while we are there.

Bad Luck Day
Today started out okay. I got to sleep in and I woke up to find a movie I had wanted to rent on TV so I watched it and then got out of bed. I relaxed on the couch for awhile while Korey studied some and then I decided to go make some lunch. While i was cutting apples with my apple peeler corer thingy i sliced my thumb pretty good, and that's where the bad luck seemed to begin. Although it did kind of start last night when I dropped the plate of corn I had just made on the floor, but anyhow... Lunch turned out good after I got a band-aid on my finger. So i enjoyed lunch and Korey and I finished watching Elizabethtown which we had started watching the other night and then stopped when Korey fell asleep. After the movie I decided I would make some cookies. As I was checking the cookies I accidentally bumped my hand on the top of the oven and I burnt my finger! I swear my finger was actually stuck to the top of the oven and I had to rip it off. anyhow.. so now i had a cut up thumb and a burnt pinky finger that hurt like heck! So while we were eating cookies, I convinced Korey to play a game of Life with me- he won of course. Then we watched some TV and Korey studied some more until I bugged him enough that he went to the pool to swim some laps with me. It was a good work out but I don't have goggles here and my eyes are all blurry from the chlorine now. Right now I am watching Smallville on our new TV that I love, and after Smallville I will be watching Supernatural and ER. It is a fun TV filled night haha! Tomorrow we are hoping to finish up the living room and bedroom, and then ride our bikes over to the beach near us. Hopefully the weather and everythign else will cooperate!

A week goes by fast
Well we've been here for a week now. It's hard to believe a week has already gone by. We still have not made it to check out the new beach. Yesterday we were all ready to go check it out, we were in the car and had our stuff, but then the movers called. They were coming with our stuff right then, so we had to come back to the apartment and get it ready for all of our stuff, and then we had to spend the rest of the evening unpacking. We did manage to go for a run last night, and we saw 3 deer in the little tiny strip of trees that goes around our apartment complex. It would almost feel like we were back home in the woods if you couldn't see all the cars whizzing by on the other side of them. It's still warm here- in the 80's almost every day. I think we are attempting to check out the beach again today, we'll see if that really happens though! The movers coming was kind of a good thing, we no longer have to sleep on an air mattress and we actually have stuff to make food now, but they did somehow lose our table top in the whole process of moving, so we're stuck eating in the living room still. Well hopefully we are off to the beach soon. I'll keep you updated if we ever made it or not haha!

Steelers and the Beach

I was busy last night and didn't get a chance to write anything. Yesterday's plan was originally to go check out a new beach and spend the whole day there, but then Korey remembered the Steeler game was on in the afternoon, so the beach plans were quickly forgotten. After realizing that the game would not be on regular tv down here, Korey began his search to find the Steeler bar he had heard about around here. He found one and we decided to go check it out for the game. It's funny how you can know absolutely noone in a place, but the fact that you're all Steeler fans can make you friends. Even though the game didn't go the way we wanted, it was a fun time watching it at the bar. After the game we did make it to the beach. We decided to take Bella this time since we wouldn't be there too long. She loved the beach. The first thing she did when we got there was poop in the sand, which I had to go clean up unfortunately. After that, she ran around on the beach and went right into the water. It was a fun time. When we got home we had to give her a bath though because she was all wet and had clumps of sand in her fur. At the end of the day I had to finish filling out applications which sucked because it took forever! I turned them in today and hopefully I'll hear something back. If I don't even get one of the five jobs I applied for then I think I'll be depressed!!! Well I think we're off to a different beach today after lunch so I'm going to go eat.

We have a couch!

Today was another relaxing day. This morning Korey and I watched some Smallville episodes. We have to finish the 5th season before next Thursday when the new season starts. This afternoon our couch arrived and so now our living room is starting to take some shape. Now that the couch is here, I guess it means that Korey and I will have to move the air matress to the bedroom and stop sleeping in the living room haha. I took some pictures of the couch and living room as it looks so far. Hopefully when the movers get here and we have all our stuff we can actually feel like this is our home. After the couch arrived, Korey and I headed over to the beach. It was nice and warm out today and the beach was fun. Then tonight we went out to dinner and checked out the gym at our place. Tomorrow I want to go to the gym again but the Steeler game is on in the afternoon so we'll see what happens...

We Made It

We survived the trip! We left on Tuesday the 19th and stopped at my cousins house for the night. It was a nice stop, but I wish we could've stayed a little longer. We got up early the next day and met one of our friends in Richmond for some good old McDonald's breakfast food, and then we got on the road again. We made it to our apartment around 5 o'clock and checked in. Moving all the stuff kinda sucked because
we have an upstairs apartment. We got everything out of the cars eventually and went to do some shopping. We got a couch and chair that night, but we could only fit the chair in the car so we called somebody to move the couch in for us, and it will be arriving today!. I'm so glad I do not have to help move the couch up here because the chair was hard enough to carry!! Shopping has been a ton of fun. I really like all the stuff we bought for the bathroom. I think it is my favorite room so far haha. It's hard to arrange too much stuff in here yet because the movers haven't brought all our stuff we sent with them, which means we have no bed, kitchen table, dresser, kitchen supplies, and more. I posted a few pictures this time. One of Bella crawling through our stuff before we moved and the other two are of the bathroom and the living room. I'll post more as we get more stuff and get everything organized.

And we're off...
Today was the last full day in good old B-ville before the move. I went to the daycare one last time and ran around doing some last minutes errands. I got to eat dinner with my parents and grandma and then I came home to watch the Steeler game which was disappointing. Right now Korey is packing up last minute stuff and then hopefully I can finally go to bed since we have to get up early tomorrow morning to begin our journey. We're driving in seperate cars now, which will be good and bad. Bad because we're both going to have to drive the whole time, but Good because we can listen to our own music haha. I took some pictures today while we were packing up stuff, but Korey packed the camera dock so I'll have to load the pictures and add them later. This will be my last entry probably until Friday or later since we won't have cable or the internet until then. Wish us luck on our trip and moving in to our new home.

More Good-Byes
Today was another busy and good-bye filled day. Korey and I had lunch with Kody, Kelly, and Courtney in the forest and then we packed up some more stuff. For dinner, I thought Korey and I were going out to a nice dinner together (because that's what he told me), but he surprised me with a dinner with our families. It was a really nice surprise. I didn't get suspicious until we pulled into the parking lot and there were two of his families cars there, but then i thought we were only eating with his family... so I was pleasantly surprised when both our familes were there and waiting for us. Saying good-bye to Courtney afterwards though was hard. She had to go back to school tonight and stayed late just to go eat with us and say good-bye. One more day and off we go...

Packing Up and Moving On

Today was the second day in a row of good byes. I'm really starting to hate them. Yesterday we said good bye to the whole IUP gang, and today we said good bye to Lisa, Korey's Aunt, Uncle and cousin, and to a bunch of my cousins and relatives who were in town. Two more days to go until we leave. I think it is finally starting to him me that we're really going away to be on our own. At least we're moving somewhere warmer where it is still in the 80's and the beach is only 5 minutes away. Every one just better keep their promise about visiting us!
