A week and a day

Hey everyone!! Pretty soon Korey and I will be heading home.. I know you are all just sooo excited haha. Soon when I write stuff on here I'll be able to say that I just went and did something with YOU! YAY!... Right now Korey and I are waiting to here on what day next week the movers will be coming. It's kind of hard trying to figure out what all we need to pack up to take ourselves, and what we need to leave alone for the movers to pack. I look around and think that we have not done anything yet to get ready... and then I have to remind myself that must of the stuff I'm looking at the movers will be taking.
Today is Korey's last real day hopefully! He has his final test type thing he has to do. I told him when he gets home we are going to dinner and a movie to celebrate. The other good news is we got a GREAT gift the other day to give to give to some people for Christmas and I cannot wait to tell the lucky people what it is! I don't think any of those people read this, but just in case I do not want to ruin anything haha.
Well I guess that is enough for now... I can't wait to see everyone. Although I do not want to move to the cold weather... it's cold enough down here!! I got used to the no snow thing and I wouldn't mind keeping it that way! :)

PICTURES FINALLY

Hey everyone. I know its been awhile again. Soon Korey and I will be home. It's crazy to think but in less than 3 weeks we'll be moving. I figured since I haven't wrote anything in awhile, or put pictures up that I'd finally put some pictures up from our trip to Universal. I finally put them on my computer the other night. I tried to put them on here yesterday but for some reason it wasn't working. It seems to be working today though so enjoy the pictures! Korey and I have been out a couple times for Halloween in our costumes. Korey and his friends made ghostbuster costumes that seem to be a hit. They won second place last Sat. night at a costume contest. They won some money (which went to pay for some of the costumes) and they won some prizes (parasailing, jet ski rental, and coupon for some places). It was a fun time. We're going out again tonight I think but minus Korey :( He has a big test tomorrow that is 8 hours long so he doesn't want to be tired for it. I'll have to put pictures up some time when I get them on my computer :) Hopefully I'll do that sooner than I did with the Universal pictures haha :)

Life is definitely NOT fair...

Well I haven't wrote anything in awhile. I don't know why it's not really like I'm busy or anything. But I guess that could be why too... I don't really have anything exciting to write about. I figured I'd write something today and vent about the stupid news we got yesterday that pretty much "ruins my life". (sounds like a Courtney saying). By now anyone who reads this probably knows the crappy news. Korey did not get stationed where he wants to be. Not only did we not get stationed in GA where I was really hoping for... we also did not get WA. Which means Korey did not get the right kind of sub and he will be out for a lot longer than we planned. So instead of being out for around 2 1/2 months. He could be out for 6 months at a time or longer :( Which left yesterday being a Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day. And today is not feeling much better either. It seems like Korey is always getting screwed when it comes to this stuff. First he did not get the other job he thought he would which would've meant he would never have to go out and just stay on land. Then we come down here and he doesn't get to start on time and he gets pushed back. Now... he doesn't get to be on what he wants to be on and we'll be away from each other for a lot longer than we thought. Right now... I think we're both starting to wish our life away so that it's about 3 years from now when all this crap is completely finished.
Okay... sorry that's enough ranting... Just figured i'd get it out, and put it on here since I hadn't written anything in awhile.. haha. Sorry!

I promise I will put Universal pictures up soon, I have not put the pictures from the cd onto the cmoputer. Maybe later I'll feel like it. We'll see though, I actually have to go to bed on time tonight. I am subbing tomorrow. One of my last few days of subbing. It would be my last day but I told another lady at an elementary school that I would sub for her. I'm still waiting to hear back from her though because I forgot I can only sub 2 of the 3 days she asked me to. So hopefully she emails me back soon. If not, I'll have to try and give her a call at the school. But that's enough now... I'm sure I've completely bored you. I'll try and write something a little more happier next....

Vacation is over

We're back from our trip to Orlando. We've actually been back since Monday. It was a Great trip. We went to both Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure and got to do a lot. We also went to a Disney water park: Typhoon Lagoon and we went to Pleasure Island one of the nights. I like Universal but I definitely know that I like Disney better haha. It was a fun trip though. I enjoyed getting away and spending time with Korey. We also went to the Universal Halloween Horror Nights. I'm not a huge fan of haunted houses because I am too easily scared. We went in a few of them and they definitely freaked me out. BUT!... The BEST part was the ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW TRIBUTE!.. LOVED IT!.. It was so fun and good. Korey and I of course forgot something on our trip... and sadly it was the camera. So we paid way too much for a camera in the parks and I just dropped off the film today. I even ordered a picture CD with it so I can put them online easily. I can't go pick them up until Saturday though. So sadly... no pictures until then. But I'll try and put them up on Saturday if I can remember. I also need to take pictures of the new car finally now that Korey has all his Steelers stuff on it. He did not want me to take the pictures before then haha. Well I hope everyone else is doing well. Don't forget to go vote for Bella's picture. One Year

I don't have a lot new to write. I enjoyed the class I subbed in today. The teacher and assistant were great, even the lady I subbed for was great (she stopped in briefly haha). I discovered I like Chai Tea now (even with soy milk in it). But anyhow... I was just writing because I realized that today was ONE YEAR THAT WE'VE LIVED HERE. We moved in to our apartment on Sept. 20, 2006. We've got a few more months, then its back North for awhile... then who knows. But I just thought I'd share that it was a year you've all been away from me haha :) MISS YOU!!

The trip to Universal is getting closer!

Hello everyone. Does anyone even still read this? haha Nothing much has changed as usual. Korey is still working on crazy shifts, and I'm still subbing. I've been in mostly special needs classrooms. I did manage somehow to get myself in a emotional and behavioral problem class which was different, and maybe not something I would want to do again. But it wasn't the end of the world either. I do enjoy having random days off some times when I can't find a job. I had this Monday off which was nice, but then I found a job for Tues. and that turned into a job for Wed. and Fri. and I already had one for Thursday... so now I'm set for the rest of the week. Which is good because it means some money for me, but bad because it means I can't sleep in! Although two of the three days I have left to sub I can sleep a little longer because the school doesn't start until later and its not too far away.
Korey and I went to dinner tonight with another couple. It was good. We went to a restaurant near the beach that we've gone to before. They have great burgers. It was a good time. Something different to do during the week. The rest of the night I think I'll try and spend finishing the two desperate housewives episodes I have left. Then I will be all caught up and ready for the next season when it starts.
So the exciting thing Korey and I are looking forward to is his four day weekend that is coming up soon. Sept. 28th. We are heading down to Orlando and going to Universal Studios and hopefully a Disney water park (depending on the weather). We are both looking forward to it. I keep counting down the days! 9 more! :) I really liked Universal when we went over Christmas but we tried to do both parks in one day and we missed some stuff. We definitely got to do a lot though since my dad bought us all the express pass and we got to bypass a lot of the lines! But this time we'll have at least two days to go to the parks and I think we're going to stay late one night and do their Halloween thing. So that's what's going on here. Hope everyone else is having a good time. And yay for Lisa who probably still reads this and will be done REAL SOON with her placement!

I need to write more

Once again it's been awhile since i wrote something. Sorry! :) I have subbed some since school started. I've only been in special ed classrooms so far. It's not exactly what I expected to be doing, but it's not too bad.. I am looking forward to when I'm done subbing though haha :)
Like usual, nothing exciting has happened. Korey and I haven't done much. His schedule is crazy and he hasn't had too many days off in a row again yet. Last Tuesday we did go celebrate his birthday though. We had to celebrate early because he had to work on his actual birthday. We went shopping so he could get the new Madden and we went for a walk on the beach, and then had dinner downtown. It was a pretty good day! Korey's on night shifts again which stinks. At least we get to see each other more than when he was on his 11-11 shift. Today the girls got together and went to the pool while the boys slept, and then after dinner we met up again to scrapbook. I haven't scrapbooked in a long time so it was nice to do it again. I'll have to try and do it more so I can get caught up! But enough boring stuff. Hopefully I'll have something more exciting to write about soon. But for now.. thats it haha!

Back to work and 3 day weekends

Well I had my first week of subbing. It did not go as bad as I thought it might. I was not looking forward to going back to work again. I really enjoyed my summer off. I could get used to the staying at home thing :) Anyhow... my first week of subbing I subbed 3 days in a special needs classroom at an elementary school. The class right now only had 2 kids, and the teacher I worked with was great. So it was not bad at all. I also got a job for all of next week doing the same thing but at a High School. We'll see how that goes. I'm a little more nervous about doing this one because it's older kids.... but it can't be that bad?! I'm sure after the first day it will get easier. I gave myself Monday off so I can spend time with Korey because he has a 4 day weekend right now. So I made myself a 3 day weekend!
So far on our long weekends we've gone to dinner with friends, saw a movie (well just the girls saw a movie... the boys preferred not to see The Nanny Diaries), went to a water park, had dinner again, played games, and relaxed. Today's only Sunday so we have today and tomorrow to still do some things. Today we are planning a trip to Target haha and then watching the Steeler game because it will actually be on TV here! Tomorrow we might take Bella to the dog park and then I'm going to stop in at the school I worked at last year to give them my number in case they need a sub! Then on Tuesday its back to work for both of us. Korey will be on his mids shift so he'll be at work from 11-11. Which will be interesting, because that means I'll only really see him for a few hours in the morning. But that's okay it will only be for a four days then I'll have the weekends off so I can see him when he's home a little more. These weird shifts bug me! :) But that's okay. At least on the next 4 day weekend we're going to Universal- I can't wait!. I guess that's enough for now I'm going to go play a game on my computer or something since Korey is playing on his. Subbing... ugh

Hello everyone. It's been awhile again. Sorry! I really haven't been doing too much. Just the same old stuff. Going to the pool during the day and relaxing. But... all that is about to end. School started today :(. I don't know when I'll get my first subbing call but I am not looking forward to it. We need the money so I have to try and sub at least 4 days a week once school gets going, but I really would rather not. haha I guess I'll really be looking forward to the weekends again! The good thing is that Korey has a lot of the weekends off now. It's nice that his breaks fall on weekends because then we can do stuff together. This weekend I think we are going to go to one of the water parks here. Each of the three county parks have a water park at them and we have been wanting to go for awhile now-so we figured we better go before summer is completely over.
Today I have a list of things I need to do , but right now I'm watching Pride and Prejudice. We read the book for book club and now I'm watching the movie. I had a hard time getting into the book, and didn't really like it too much, but the other people in the book club told me to watch the movie and it would help me like it better. But anyway.. for now that's all I have to write I guess :)

I was up late again... couldn't sleep. But I don't have anything really that exciting to write about. Korey and I went to the pool today.. woohoo haha. We went because it was sooo stinking hot out- somewhere in the upper 90's. But anyhow, since I didn't really have anything to write about, and I was watching old One Tree Hill episodes, I figured I'd post a quote I liked from the show. At least looking up quotes gave me something to do for awhile haha.

I hate night shifts!

Korey is now doing shift work and the night shift stinks. Of course he gets the night shift as his first full shift!! He works from 7:30 pm- 7:30 am. He usually gets home around 8:15 in the morning and then goes to bed until around 3ish. At least that is what he did yesterday which was his first night on this shift. I tried staying up with him the other night when he was trying to adjust his sleeping pattern. I made it til about 4 o'clock then I fell asleep. Korey made it til 7 but he also took an hour nap which I did not take haha. Last night I tried staying up again until he got home. It was hard, especially here by myself- even Bella gave up and went back to her den to sleep. I read Harry Potter, talked to people online until they all went to bed, played some games online, and watched 3 episodes of Desperate Housewives. I gave up and let myself fall asleep somewhere around 5:30. I slept on the couch until Korey woke me up... then I went back to bed and slept til 3... ICK Sleeping during the day is a weird feeling. Waking up that late makes me feel like I wasted the whole day even though I did a lot the night before. Tonight I'm going to try and go to sleep earlier because I really need to go downtown tomorrow and get my subbing card. I can always take a nap in the afternoon if I want. I'm hoping to go downtown with the girls again tomorrow but I haven't heard from them yet... I need to give them a call!
Sorry this post has been pretty boring. I really doubt anyone wanted to know how I spent my last few nights haha. I am getting sooo close to finishing HARRY POTTER! I like this book and I'm hoping to finish it tonight. It is kind of sad though because I know there won't be any more harry potter books.
But enough ranting for tonight!

Messing around

Okay... It's been awhile again.. I know! SORRY! Sarah and Tom have been here visiting so I have been trying to be a good host and I have not been online that much. Tonight though Sarah helped me make a myspace page (Like I really needed something else to mess around with on the internet!) so I was on the computer a lot trying to get that all figured out. But in the process of doing myspace stuff I thought.. Hey... I can probably use most of that stuff on my blog. So here are some Bella pictures in a slide show that I made for my Myspace page and I am now also adding on here. So it's not anything too super exciting... but it's something for those of you who actually do check and read this sometimes! :).. ENJOY!

I like Friday's

So it's Friday already. I can't believe the last time I wrote something was on Sunday, it does not seem like it was that long ago. The week's go by too fast. I want them to slow down because in a month if all goes well I'll be subbing and have to actually be working during the day again.. ugh. I'd like to stay at home the next three months until we move, but I don't think Korey or our bank account would like that too much! :) The subbing process here is CRAZY though... There are so many forms to fill out, and things to do, and I even have to go to a 2 day full days work shop on subbing.. and i HAVE A FREAKING TEACHING CERTIFICATE.. but unless its from this state they don't care which ticks me off... but anyhow. I got my TB shot today which is something I had to do in order to turn my papers in to sub, and I fixed up my resume... now basically all I have to left to do before I turn my stuff in is get two letters of recommendation that i'm working on getting. But sometimes it's hard to get ahold of people. Anyone enough ranting.
Harry Potter comes out tomorrow... or tonite at 12... I'm debating whether to try and go tonight. I did not pre-order a book or anything. So I'm hoping if I do go I can still get one... but I don't know. I don't want to drive over there and be told I can't get a book cause I didn't order one. I cannot imagine they will sell out though, that would be nuts... even though I know people are waiting like crazy for this book.
Sorry I still do not have pictures of the car up on here. I have not taken any yet. Korey takes it with him during the day to work so I'll have to try and remember this weekend to take some and put them on here.
Well I guess that is all for now. Sarah and Tom are coming to visit next week. I'm hoping they have fun vacationing with us :)

messing around

I was bored tonight before I went to bed and I started messing around with sites that had stuff for blogs. I added the clock on the side first. I was actually impressed with myself to figure out how to put it over there. I'm not super good with website type stuff and looking at codes and figuring out where to put a code that will look like a clock on my main page.. but anyhow. Then I found this fish thing and figured I'd make my own tank of brightly colored fish and put it on here also as a post. It took up a few minutes of my night deciding how big to make the tank, how many bubbles I wanted, what color fish I wanted and so on. haha So that was about the excitement of my night. Korey and I started to watch Ghost Rider but he got tired so we'll have to finish it tomorrow night. We went over to the pool today and it was super packed and had some interesting people over there and Korey quickly realized he should have agreed to go to the beach with me when I asked. But nooooo he wanted to go to the pool... which he later regretted after he saw all the people there and heard what some of them were talking about. Anyway... we did not stay at the pool long. We came back and took Bella out to play then I ended up falling asleep on the couch while Korey played a game. On the bright side I did get to talk to Lisa a lot today! :) Hope everyone is enjoying their summer... I'm hoping mine does not go by to fast for the next month.

New Car

Well Korey and I got a new care tonight. It was exciting. I think we got a pretty good deal on it. Korey really seems to like it. Now he will have a new toy to play with haha. We got a Nissan Xterra. Hopefully he'll let me drive it some too :) It is dark out now so I did not take any pictures of it with our camera. I took one with my phone and sent it to a few people. I'll try and take more tomorrow and put some on here! But that's our big excitement for right now. We just have to make sure we don't spend money on stupid stuff haha But at least now we won't be spending money to fix the Aztek! Hopefully the neon will remain faithful! Well I guess I don't really have too much else to write. We're hoping to go to the beach tomorrow, and we are also hoping to maybe go out downtown. Hope everyone else has a great weekend!

Swimming under stars!

The family went home today which was sad. It was nice having them here. I just wish all my family and friends lived where I did. It would make things easier. I had a fun week at home visiting and a fun week when they were visiting here. I got to do a lot of stuff in Charleston which was nice. Some of it I had not done before. I like living in a place where people enjoy coming to visit! Although next time we move somewhere hopefully we'll have a little bit bigger of a place so it's not as crowded when people come to visit :).. I don't think cork minds sleeping on an air matress tho! :)

Anyway.. Korey and I continued our car hunt tonight and checked out some more cars. Then when we got back we went for a swim in our pool. It was nice going for a swim at night. There were only two other people at the pool so it was nice and quiet and we could see the stars really well so it made it even nicer. Now I think we're going to pig out on some ice cream and head to bed. At least tomorrow is Friday! yay

Another trip to OTH stuff

Today we went again to the town where One Tree Hill is filmed. Courtney had never been there and wanted to take the studio tour. This time the tour was pretty disappointing though because they were just now tearing down sets for the show and building new ones so they did not really show us anything at all that had to do with OTH which kind of stunk. We walked around down near the river and saw some other places where they film, but overall it was not a very eventful trip. We did get to stop on the way back and eat at Hard Rock!
Last night Korey, Cork and I went to see Transformers. I loved it! There are a bunch of movies out right now I want to see, so I'm glad I got to go see at least one of them. Korey was also able to stay awake for the whole movie! haha
Well this is short but I don't have much else to write right now. Maybe I'll add some more pictures tomorrow and write more. Bye for now!

It's been awhile... but I'm back home

Hey everyone! I just got back from visiting good old PA. I had a lot of fun. I got to have a sleepover with the girls :) Next time we'll try a different punch though girls! :) I got to spend the night out at the camper. I like the camper and I do miss going to picnics. I got to see my family and go to NYC with them. I love the city. I went to see The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee with my sister while my parents went to see Les Miserables.



We all loved our shows. The Spelling Bee was hilarious! Now I'm back home and I'm glad to be back in the warm weather. But i'm starting to get bummed out about money. Korey's car is broken and we are probably going to have to get another one and we do not want another payment each month grrr. Also I have to sub at the beginning of the school year because I can't really get a job for only 3 months, but the pay for subbing is CRAP because I do not have this states teaching certificate. Which is SOOO STUPID.. I have a freaking teaching certificate- it should not matter if its from here or not. Oh well enough venting about that. I love living here but this job thing stresses me out for those 3 months. I wish it paid more money and then it would be okay. But anyway.. enough about all of that. I'll try and write more now that i'm back here and I'll add some pictures. But for now goodbye. I should get some sleep before doing some more tours with the family tomorrow!

Rain Rain Go Away...

Okay so it is another day full of rain and thunder. I got up and worked out, watched some tv. I went to Walmart to get some things Korey wanted and I also went to Blockbuster to get the next 4 episodes of Desperate Housewives. Now I'm kind of sitting around on the computer because i want to go to the gym, but it is pouring and storming out so I would not even make it over there before becoming soaked. I also would not mind taking Bella for a walk but... again.. the rain is a problem. So I'm just sitting here not doing much right now. Bella is passed out in the chair. I really hope the weather starts getting better so I can make it to the beach some more. Monday was a good beach day, but yesterday and today are definitely NOT! :) But that is enough complaining about the weather. Because I'd rather be sitting around with not a ton to do than be at work. I'm sure there is something here I can find to do!!

What to do when it is not sunny out...

Yesterday I enjoyed my day off by going to the beach. It was nice, relaxing, and I got some sun. I even went in the water... and the the tide came in and the water started creeping closer and closer, and the beach started to get smaller and smaller :) so I eventually left, but i got a good 2 hours or more at the beach which was nice. Today they were calling for scattered thunderstorms so instead of going to the beach I thought I'd go hang out at the pool. There was noone there when I went which was nice, and I got a good hour in before it started to thunder and sprinkle. So I left the pool and came back to the apartment to hang out with Bella. It didn't not sprinkle long though and the sun came back out, but it continued to thunder off and on for awhile so I figured it was safe to stay away from the pool. But then I did not know what to do with myself haha. I am in no way sad that I did not know what to do though, I would rather sit around with nothing to do then get up early for work :) I decided to fold some laundry and wash some more, and I watched Dr. Phil and Oprah haha. I also talked to Courtney and Lisa online so it turned out an okay day even though I could not go to the beach or pool! :)


Now that the thunder seems to have stopped i might brave a walk over the bridge, or I might just play it safe and head to the gym.. we'll see. Either way I'm going to get going. I've been on the computer a little too much today!

NO MORE WORK

Wow... It's been a really long time since I wrote last. Sorry about that. I guess it's a good thing not many people actually read this! At least this time I can add some pictures! Lisa just left today from her trip down here. We were sad to see her go. It was a really fun week. We got to do a lot of stuff. We went to the beach, walked around downtown, ate at some good restaurants, got free root beer floats (not to mention we had already bought root beer floats earlier in the same day, and got milkshakes along with our free floats that evening haha). We went shopping at the town center, went to the dog park, walked the bridge, and more! It was definitely a great week.
I'm also happy that I am finally done with work now. It was kind of sad the last day though because I loved the lady I worked with and I also loved many of the other people at the school. I am excited though to not have to work over the summer. I am ready to go to the beach or pool every day. It has been soooo hot down here already. I don't mind the heat... Korey does not enjoy it so much.

Well it's kind of late and we're getting up for church tomorrow so I'm going to go for now. But i'll try and write more now that I don't have school. Although I may not have too much to write about haha. Love you all and enjoy the pictures!

Something Different

:) I only have 8 more days of working with children at school. It's getting sooo close but it still feels like it will never get here haha. I'm having fun these last few days though because we are not doing as much work. We are practicing a lot for our concert and taking stuff down in the room to get ready to send it home with the kids. Also, next week we'll have an extra set of hands because we got one of the subs to come in and help us get the kids ready for the concert. The concert should be interesting. A bunch of 4 and 5 year olds on stage for the first time ever singing songs for their parents and the kindergarten and first grade classes. I'm excited haha. It just stinks that the concert is the same time as Korey's graduation. I'm glad his parents and grandparents are coming so that someone will be there. I wish I could go but I was originally told not to come "it's not worth coming to"... so then the concert got scheduled that day, and I said that was fine. Now I wish I could see him graduate but he says it's okay. So anyhow.. enough about that.
It's been so nice and warm here. I think i'm going to go to the beach this weekend. This weekend starts our first wave of visitors for the summer. But I'm sure I've already talked about all this so I'm going to go now haha. Not much else is going on, but I'll write more later!

The Countdown is On

Now that I know there will be no kids after the 25th, I'm only counting down until that day. So.. I have 13 more days of school left. After those 13 days I get Memorial day off and i'm taking the Tues., Wed., And Thurs., after Memorial day off since there are no kids and I'm going home. School is not officially over until June 3rd though, and since I am getting paid up until June 3rd and I'm under contract, I still have to go to school until June 3rd. So... after I get back from my trip home i still have to go into school for a few days. I'll probably be testing kids for the program next year or helping clean out the room. At least 2 of those days are 1/2 days. It just stinks though because Lisa and Ashley are following us back down here and staying with us for a bit and I don't want to have to go in to school those days.. but oh well.
At least with this countdown I don't feel like I am wishing my life away like I did when I was counting down student teaching. Student teaching was just so miserable I could not wait for it to be over just so it was over. I'm counting down now because I am just so excited to be spending the summer here with no work to do. I'm used to working all summer and this is the first time in awhile I won't have to... but i'll still be getting paid! It will be like one long vacation AND I live near the BEACH! :) Sorry.. if you haven't noticed i'm super excited! I'm also excited to show everyone around when they come down. The visitors start soon. In two weeks The Witt parents will be here to visit and The Witt Grandparents! Then we go home for a visit and Lisa and Ashley are coming back with us. Then after that The Kelso family :) is coming to visit. I'm excited. That's all I have to say for now!

Good News!

Sorry that I haven't wrote anything in over a week to those of you who actually do read this sometimes. Nothing too exciting has happened. Korey and I did eat at a really neat place down here with some friends last weekend though. This weekend we are going camping, so hopefully I'll be able to put some pictures on here of that. Bella turned a year old on April 19th.
But anyhow haha... sorry to bore you :) My good news is that the four year old class I work with ends early and it ends the Friday before Memorial day. So I don't have to worry about taking time off to come home because school will be done for me! I'm excited to go home again! Four and a half more weeks! And I only have 22 more days of school! I do really like the job though. I'm just not a job person haha. I don't like getting up early especially when its been so nice and warm out here. But I love who I work with and the kids aren't too bad. It's not like some other jobs I've had ;) Some of you know what I'm talking about haha. But anyhow that was my good news of the day and since I didn't have anything else to write about I figured I'd just share that news with you for now. Hopefully I'll have more to write later!

I survived the week

Well I made it through the first week back after break. It went surprisingly fast but it was a CRAZY week. I think the kids forgot what school was after only being gone for a week. I wish I could've forgot :) But I survived and now only six more weeks to go before I take off to come home and then just a few days and its summer break with NO WORK! Yay!
So I don't really have too much to write about right now. I think I might just add some pictures and maybe after the weekend I'll have more exciting things to write. Sorry I'm so boring. It probably explains why noone really even reads this anymore. haha

Smells Like Summer

I absolutely LOVE it here! The weather has been so nice lately. It's so different from home. It's been in the upper 70's /80's. I went to the beach on Sunday this weekend and yesterday I hung around the pool. I think I'm going to go over to the beach today. I'm really enjoying this spring break thing! :)
Korey and I are coming home now around Memorial day for sure. I think we're going to drive back the Saturday before and then we'll be home Sunday-Thursday. I think that's the longest we've been home yet! I'm excited to go home. I especially want to go to the camper. It smells like summer down here even though its only spring and it makes me think of going to the camper and all the summer things I did back home.
This past weekend was a good weekend! Friday night we went to a comedy show that was free and funny! Saturday we went with some friends to a flower festival. It was like a fair. There were vendors and food and it was fun. I bought a few things and had a lot of food! Then we went to another friends house to play a game that night. And Sunday we went to the beach which I mentioned earlier. Korey and I also bought tennis stuff and attempted playing here. It was fun. I'm not so good, but I still enjoy it :)
Well I'm off to watch Greys Anatomy I borrowed the first two seasons to watch during spring break. Then I'm going to work out and head over to the beach! Talk to you later!

As Courtney would say: One Tree Hill Makes My Life!!!

Yesterday was absolutely amazing!! Korey and I woke up early to head to the OTH charity basketall game. The game was fun to watch. They were giving away t-shirts and other free stuff the whole game. I got a free sunkist t-shirt for Courtney! They also had some of the cast passing out raffle tickets during the game so I got to get some raffle tickets from Hilarie Burton (Peyton). After the game they had autograph signing so Korey and I waited in the long line (we were probably somewhere int he middle of it) and we got autographs from a lot of the cast! I got Courtney's t-shirt signed and I got the t-shirt i bought signed along with a picture frame. It was so exciting and they were all very nice. I don't know if I could be that friendly and nice after signing autographs for over 3 hours. I would definitely love to go again though. I'm just sad that new episodes will not be on again until May 2nd... and I REALLY hope they don't cancel the show. But the day was amazing :) Korey and I even got kisses on the cheek from Hilarie Burton at Korey's request haha. (He thought he was going to be the only one getting the kiss on the cheek).




On the way home Korey and I stopped in myrtle beach for some dinner. We ate at Joe's crab shack on Broadway at the Beach. It brought back some good spring break memories. And just made a perfect ending to a perfect day! I LOVED this weekend.

Today I'm off to the beach with some friends hoping to start my tanning. It's March and i'm going to the beach.. this is crazy to me but I love it... it's def. in the 80's! Talk to everyone later! Love ya

Book clubs, exercise, and laying out

Hello everyone! Sorry I have not written much lately. It has been SUPER nice here this week. It is GREAT. I have gone and laid by the pool 3 days this week. I don't get to lay out much though since I do not get home from work until around 4, but 30 minutes is better than nothing! It's crazy to think that its only March and it is nice enough to lay around a pool! I definitely like the weather here!
On Monday our apartment complex started a book club. I went to the meeting to see if I wanted to do it. There were not a lot of people there but that's okay. It made it a more relaxed atmosphere. We decided to read a Nicholas Sparks book as our first book. I have already read it but I don't mind reading it again. We are going to read True Believer. Of course it is one of the Nicholas Sparks books I did not bring with me and mom can't find it at home. But that's okay...Lisa is letting me borrow hers :) I have to read 1/2 the book by the 26th. I think I can handle that. I am reading a Jodi Picoult book right now though, so it should be interesting trying to read both books at once. Unless I finish my JP book soon, which could happen since its hard to put down!
Since the weather is now warm I have decided I need to step up my exercise haha. I am making sure I try and go EVERY day. It's crazy to think that its already warm enough to wear a swim suit. So now I have to get my body in shape enough to wear the swim suit. Even though I have already worn it a few times to lay out :)
Well I think that is all that's going on right now. Tomorrow is Friday which is exciting. I need to start taking more pictures and putting them on. I say that all the time. Saturday we are going over to a friends house to cook out and hang out for St. Patty's day. But that's all for now!

long time

Hello! Sorry its been so long for those of you who actually check this. It's been a busy, crazy two weeks. Lisa came to visit last week during her spring break. It was a good time! We went out downtown and we also went to Savannah. Then after Lisa left, Courtney came down for the week. She's still here, but goes home tomorrow. We went to see Mama Mia Thursday night which was really good!! Last night we went to eat at a Japanese restaurant and who knows what we will end up doing today. We were originally going to see the OTH sets again but plans changed. Now we're still trying to figure out what to do today!

On the job front I am counting down the days! haha I still enjoy who I work with and some parts of my job, but I am just really really really ready for it to be summer time. I will enjoy sleeping in, going to the beach, relaxing, and still getting paid! :) There are only 56 more days! It seems like a lot but hopefully it goes fast. Two more weeks and then we get a teacher day and a 1/2 day off during the third week. THEN... ITS SPRING BREAK TIME AND I GET A WHOLE WEEK OFF. But enough about that... I'll keep you updated on the countdown don't worry!

Other than that I guess I don't have too much exciting to write about. I'll try and get some pictures on here soon I did take a few last weekend. But I guess i'll go for now!

Sick... ICK!

Well today I woke up at 3 a.m. with a sore throat and a headache. I took some medicine and crawled back into bed hoping I could sleep and make it better in a few hours. When Korey woke up to get ready a little over an hour later, I still felt like crap. I managed to get myself out of bed though around 6:30 and get ready for work. I took some more medicine in the morning and kind of felt better during the beginning of the day except for the sore throat. As the day wore on and the kids drove me more nuts... I started to feel more sick and achey. I came home and just laid around doing NOTHING. It's sad. I've started to try exercising again on a good schedule, and today just didn't work out for me. Poor puppy too had to lay around in her den all day and then lay around with me all evening. Now that Korey is home maybe he'll have some energy to play with her. I just feel soooo drained of energy and my throat hurts real bad. One more day of work this week, I can't wait for the weekend! It kind of stinks that I didn't feel good today since it was 75 freaking degrees out! I felt bad that Bella didn't get to go out and play since it was so nice.

I'm really looking forward to the month of March right now, there is so much going on! Lisa comes down at the end of Feb/beginning of March and we get to go to Savannah that first weekend and explore. Then the next week Courtney comes and we get to venture to see OTH sets again :) Then the week after that Kody might come visit, he's not sure yet, but the weekend of St. Patrick's day we're talking about going to Savannah again with friends. Then finally on the 24th is the One Tree Hill Charity Basketball Game that I am soooooooo excited for.

I really do need to add some more pictures, but that probably won't happen tonight. Sorry! I'll do it soon. I promise :)

Great Trip Home!

Hey everyone. I just saw most of you who even read this! Korey and I had a great trip home this weekend, even though there was snow everywhere haha. Korey was happy that he got to see snow, I would not have minded if I did not see it at all this winter! It was a short but great trip home. I'm glad we went! I got to spend time with pretty much everyone even if it was only for a little bit. Korey and I had lunch with my family and Lisa on Saturday and then we went to his Grandma's for dinner and out with our friends that night! It was great to see everyone again! I'll have to add some pictures later (I didn't put them on the computer yet). Sunday Korey and I went to church and then we had lunch again with my family and went to see his cousins new dog. That night we had dinner at his house and watched a movie. It was a whirlwind weekend. We're hoping that maybe we can go home again around Memorial Day but we'll see how that works out. For now we're looking forward to people coming down for Spring Break trips.

Also... I'm sooo excited and I'm going to have to start counting down until the days I get to go watch the ONE TREE HILL CHARITY BASKETBALL GAME! It's not 'til the end of March but I cannot wait haha. I'll definitely have pictures from that!

Well I guess that's all for now. I miss everyone bunches and I'll write more later, and hopefully I'll get some pictures added!

Weekends almost over already

Well it's Sunday again which means back to work tomorrow.... ugh! I actually don't mind going to work, I would just rather be at home. This weekend was nice, nothing too eventful. Yesterday Korey went in to school to study and I went down town and shopped with two other girls here. I didn't buy anything. Today Korey went in to study again so I'm just sitting around hanging out with Bella. Korey did get my new desk put together though which is exciting!
One more week until we go home! Aren't you all excited to see us? Make the cold weather go away before we get there!
Oh.. to update you on RENT it was GREAT!! I loved loved LOVED it! I don't know though which I like better, the show or the movie. I like them both so much! Another update, I thanked everyone for my bday gifts last time, and then the next day I got another one. Thank you Ashley for my blanket that will keep me warm until it gets warm here again!
Well that's all I got now. Like I said we didn't do too much this weekend! Bye for now!

Semi-warm day today

Hey everyone! sorry its been awhile again! Today was in the 60's which was nice here, especially since i keep hearing about how COLD it is at home. I'm looking forward to going home in a week, but I am not looking forward to the cold weather!

To update you on our boring life, Korey and I went out to eat for my birthday this weekend downtown, and then we went out with a couple friends afterwards. It was a good time! I got a lot of great stuff and cards from people for my bday! Thank you to Lisa who gave me the opportunity to finally go buy some new clothes for myself, which i honestly have not done in awhile. Thank you to Courtney for my lovely poem! Thanks to Sarah because her Christmas present was also my bday present and it was awesome! Thanks MOM! I LOVE books and chocolate haha and now I have some extra spending money :) I know I didn't mention every one that sent me stuff, but I don't think anyone else reads this. If you do read this, and I didn't mention you... Thanks! and yell at me sometime and let me know :)

Tonight Korey and I are going to go see RENT. It was one of my Christmas presents and I am very excited that its finally here! I've wanted to see this show for a long time. I loved the movie. Even though I don't get to see it on Broadway this is the next best thing! I'll have to let you know how it is, I probably can't take pictures. (I'll take my camera anyway tho)

Well I guess that is all for now. Hope everyone is staying warm back home. We'll be there to join you in the cold weather in about a week, and then some of you (Courtney and Lisa) can come join us in the warmer weather!

Is it Friday yet?

I think that may have been a title to one of my other posts before... but its really how I feel this week!! The teacher I work with is still not feeling well and she was out today, and she'll be out Tuesday and Wednesday for sure also... and she may even be out Thursday and Friday all depending on how she feels. I want her to get better, but I also want her to come back to school!! The kids have been behaving but they are still four years old, and it makes the day sooo long. I did have a sub for half of the day today but when they're not used to the routine it still makes it hard.

But enough about that. Korey and I had a nice weekend. Saturday was pretty relaxing. Korey has a test tomorrow so he went in to school to study Sat. morning and I actually did some scrapbooking while he was gone. When he got home we washed his car (fun fun...) and we went to Target. Doesn't that sound so exciting? haha. Sunday Korey went in to school again to study and I sat around.. and also washed some clothes... :) Then we watched a bunch of LOST episodes at night and went to sleep so we could start another crazy week! Tomorrow should be nice though since Korey won't stay long after his test. So anyhow.. thats my update for the weekend. I'll have to let you know if I survive the week! I think I'm going to need a vacation after this week!

Short and Sweet

Hey everyone! I'm off to bed cause its late late late but I wanted to write something before I went. Today was a crazy day for me! The teacher I work with was sick and I was in the room by myself with all twenty of our four year olds!! I managed to actually get some work done but I also did take them out for an extra recess! I'm just glad it was Friday and that I survived. Noone threw up today and noone had any accidents haha. Korey and I went to Sticky Fingers tonight and then we came home to watch a movie. We both ended up falling asleep at different parts during the movie, but we managed to wake up and finish the movie! (It wasn't really that good though.... we were watching Crank). Well as the title says, this is going to be short and sweet! So I will definitely write more later this weekend...I just wanted to at least write SOMETHING tonight. Love you all (and I seriously just typed in ya all before changing it.. WOW.. but I PROMISE I never say it!!). Night! :)

Colder, but NO SNOW!

Hey everyone. Once again its been awhile since I wrote something. I really need to do some more interesting things so I have something to write about. Most of the time I just go to school during the day and work, and then I come home and go to the gym and watch some t.v. or just relax with Korey. Weekends go by too quick!! I'm looking forward to summer.... as long as we get to stay down here! This weekend Korey and I just relaxed Friday night and didn't really do anything at all haha, and then last night we met some friends to eat at Moe's and then went bowling. I did pretty good bowling...I actually broke 100 both games which is good for me haha! :) After bowling we all went to one of our friends houses to play a new game which was interesting! I liked it, but it was different than the games I'm used to playing. It was called Settlers of Catan. We played until about 2.am. then came home and went to bed after finally feeding the dog some dinner!!
Last week was nice for work because we had Monday off and then Thurs. and Fri. were just teacher work days... so the students were only there 2 days. It was a nice easy week. Now its back to everyday like normal again for the next 4 weeks...blah! Then during the next day off we get to GO HOME! YAY... I know you're all so very excited about that! Well... I hope thing are goign great for everyone else. I'll try and write things more often because I know you don't have anything better to do than read this :) (yeah right!). Have a good week, maybe this time I'll write before its the weekend!

It's going to be warm again this weekend!

wow.. sorry guys, I didn't realize I had gone so long without writing anything. A whole week! haha. Last weekend Korey and I ventured to the Aquarium here. The animals there were basically animals from around here, but it was still fun. Korey enjoyed the big turtles. Courtney would probably like it. We're trying to do as much of the things around the area as we can while we live here. School was okay this week but the kids really seemed to get on our nerves. I'm definitely glad tomorrow is Friday though! This weekend I'm not sure what we're doing. Probably going to see a movie? haha and hang out with Korey's friends one night. Sorry I don't have anything too exciting to write about. I've just been working, going to the gym, watching LOST, and playing the SIMS.. how exciting huh :).. Well I'll let this be a short entry. I miss Disney and Family!

Well one more day of work this week. I'm glad it was a short week to start back with. The kids have not been too bad so its been good, and my cold is better which helps. I'm still in the missing Disney World mode and already trying to figure out when I can go back!! I miss my family and friends too. But at least I know I'll get to see them again in February! Right now i'm just kind of hanging out with Bella before I head over to the gym. I'll probably play some SIMS :) also. Korey bought me the Sims 2 for Christmas and now that I have a nice new laptop and the game runs sof fast and nice on it, i'm SUPER addicted to the game haha. I think I've played it every day since we've gotten back from Disney, and I played it all day Christmas day too pretty much. I really don't have a whole lot to write about, but I wasn't really doing anything right now so I figured I'd write a little something. I don't really have any New Years Resolutions to write about, but Korey and I decided that we were going to make a list of things we would LIKE to do this year, and then we'll see how much of it we get done (of course we haven't had time to write it yet) haha. When we write some things down maybe i'll post a few on here for fun! Hope everyone is doing well. Enjoy your breaks from school if you still have them! I wish it was still break!

Well tomorrow is back to school day... ugh! I really enjoyed my Christmas break. I just wish it could have been a little longer. This is one of those times I still wish I was in college because I'd have more break left! Christmas was great here and Disney was even better! I LOVE Disney World. We managed to cram all 4 parks into 4 days and did quite a bit. I got to ride most of the rides I wanted and I hope everyone else who went really had fun too. I'm glad I got to see my family and Lisa it was a good time! Korey got sick the last day we were there though and he had to miss going to Epcot. It was sad but he's feeling a lot better now! We also got to go to Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure. We managed to try and cram those to parks into one day and pretty well. It helped that most of the parks were open pretty late because it was the holidays. Korey and I came back New Years Eve and went downtown with some people. It was a good time! Probably one of my more favorite New Years! Now we're just trying to enjoy our last night of vacation by sitting around and doing nothing. I think once we get back into things it will be easier, but right now I am not looking forward to it at all. This month is going to be a messed up month for me when it comes to school. We have a 3 day week this week, then we go all next week, then the week after that I have an in service meeting on Monday, go to school Tues. and Wed. and then just have teacher work days Thurs. and Fri. It will be nice to have some days off, but it might be harder to get back into a routine. I'm already looking forward to the summer when I don't have to work!! Well enough for now! I hope everyone had a WONDERFUL Christmas!
